Forbidden Dreadnought XT 2022

Ready to obliterate all that comes before it, the Dreadnought XT is dripping in a wish list of fit-and-forget parts. The 170mm travel Fox 38 Grip2 forks are coupled to a custom-tuned Fox Performance Elite FLOAT X2 shock, dishing out 154mm of superbly damped rear-wheel travel. The Trifecta high pivot suspension system boasts a square edge hit destroying 100% rearward wheel path that simultaneously eliminates unwanted and detrimental drivetrain forces. Often imitated but never equalled, our proven One Ride geometry not only delivers a consistent ride experience across the size spectrum but an unrivalled level of balance and composure that truly separates the Dreadnought from the competition. A bike that defies industry categorization, is equally at home in the Alpine, the bike park or between the tape, the Dreadnought XT will blur lines, exceed expectations and come back for more.

Forbidden logo

Inspired by the terrain that surrounds their home on Vancouver Island, even naming the company after the Forbidden Plateau - their local riding spot - should go some way to explaining their intentions as a mountain bike brand. The year-round riding conditions they experience here coupled with the sheer variety of trails on offer have given them the ideal location to design and develop cutting edge mountain bikes.

Established in 2019 by a growing team of industry veterans with a single product - a trail bike, the Druid - and a single-minded, no holds barred approach to bicycle design. The Druid’s arrival on the scene certainly set the tone for a brand that is not prepared to accept the status quo or adhere to the whims of mass-market trends.

Small, agile and free to pursue the ideas that would ultimately lead them towards truly unique products that not only define them a company but who they are as riders. This approach has also allowed them to really focus on ride quality and performance above all else, be it through suspension, geometry, materials, or construction techniques.
