Mat and Ste have a misspent youth in common. Riding DJ bikes about, hitting jumps, ramps, skate parks, 4x tracks and generally just bombing about on hardtails but they are old now, and the DJ bikes get ridden less and less in favour of bigger bikes with nice comfy tyres and saddles or even with a motor on for ultimate old man points!
But every now and then, Ste and Mat come out of retirement to perform peer pressure induced back flips at the skate park and the transition from big bike to little bike is alot to get used to in a few hours but it does come back, all be it in a more wobbly, sketchy, out of control form but its there all the same.
In the video Ste and Mat try out our new rental DJ bikes from Specialized with bigger 27.5 wheels making the transition from big bike to DJ bike a little easier. And with Micky giving them some expert advice on how to get through the trails the lads had a fantastic Dad day out at Phoenix bike park!
