The Trickstuff Direttissima is a four-piston disc brake for riders who want to place braking force precisely on steep, technical terrain. Its progressive lever geometry gives a controlled start to the stroke, then increases mechanical leverage as the lever moves further.

That response depends on more than outright power. A ball-bearing lever mechanism and low-friction POM pump piston keep movement smooth, while the stiff aluminium caliper and Kevlar hose give a clear sense of when the pads meet the rotor. Controlled piston return helps preserve that familiar bite point through repeated braking inputs.

Set up for the rider

Tool-free reach adjustment brings the lever closer to or further from the handlebar. Choose the listed body/cap colour and the front-brake lever arrangement required for the bike. Front left / rear right and front right / rear left describe which hand operates each brake.

  • CNC-machined 7075 aluminium pump, lever and caliper
  • Four stainless steel caliper pistons, 14/17mm diameters
  • Kevlar hose and Bionol brake fluid
  • Post Mount calipers; maximum rotor thickness 2.10mm
  • Compatible Trickstuff pad shape: 850

Check the frame and fork mounts, rotor diameter and required adaptors when specifying the installation.

More leverage through the stroke

The lever geometry increases mechanical leverage as it moves, giving a controlled start followed by stronger braking deeper into the stroke.

Fine control at the lever

Bearings support the moving lever mechanism, while the POM pump piston slides with low friction. Together they help make small changes in finger force easier to apply.

A bite point that stays familiar

A stiff caliper and controlled piston return help keep the response consistent through repeated braking inputs.

A clear connection to the caliper

The pressure-resistant Kevlar hose helps preserve a firm bite point, carrying lever input to the caliper without unnecessary hose expansion.
