Levo Gen4 - The Worlds Most Versitle E-Bike! 

If bikes where tools the Levo Gen4 would be a Swiss Army knife. Neat, functional, packed with features and really sharp and pointy! 

Bad analogies aside we had planned to ride the Gen4 on just the range extender on our first ever demo in Spain when Specialized launched but we ran out of time so when we got our Specialized demo fleet we knew we had to grab a range extender off the shelf and see what this bike could do in the "Lightweight mode".

So what did we learn?

We learnt that the Levo Gen4 is probably the most versatile E-Bike on the market. Not only does it ride incredibly well, setting a long standing gold standard for ride quality but it does it whilst packing in more features than any other E-Bike we know of.

The Levo Gen4 has 3 adjustable head angles, two bottom bracket heights and switchable 29er or 27.5 rear wheel. And once you're done setting up your frame you can start thinking about battery setup.

The Levo Gen4 can be run exclusively with the standard 840wh internal battery (there are rumor's of a 600wh optional battery coming) or the external 280wh range extender or with both to give you 1120wh of battery.

This gives you the opportunity to have 3 battery setups:

A super long range, big day out setup with 1120wh

A do it all trail setup which still boasts 840wh

Or go "superlight" and run just the 280wh range extender

And thats exactly what we wanted to do in this video. How does this bike ride on the range extender?

It saves us almost 3kg in weight and thats no joke when that equates to 11% of the bikes weight! 

What does it all mean on the trail?

The Levo Gen4 is one of the best handling bikes on the market and with all the adjustable angles there will be a setting thats perfect for you and where and how you ride so dialing ion the characteristics of this bike can be a puzzlers dream! If thats not your thing of course we will get your settings dialled for you in store but rest assured this bike handles everything perfectly! 

With the bike being so capable its a joy to then cut 3kg off it and ride your local tracks on something that now dances over bumps, and glides through corners with the bike feeling like you but just after 5 double espressos! 

Its faster, more agile, you can hop it and move it around better with a ride feel more familiar to me from my own Santa Cruz Heckler SL. Its worth nothing that this bike has almost double the Torque of the Heckler SL with the range extender attached and the same peak power! 

But slap the big battery in and we've got a bike that can gobble up the laps.

Couple this with the new over the air power updates that give you up to 850w of peak power and the Levo R lightweight build the Levo Gen4 has been taking to new levels!
