Supplied dry and requires bleeding before use. The bleed kit is not included and is sold separately: Brembo GR-PRO Bleed Kit. Brembo mineral brake fluid and rotors are also sold separately.
The Brembo GR-PRO is a front and rear brake set for riders who want to tune how their brakes respond, from long enduro descents to downhill runs and demanding e-MTB riding. Its four-piston calipers, adjustable master cylinders and braided hoses are developed as one system, with control and consistency under sustained braking at the centre of the design.
Set the feel, then set the fit
Three lever-ratio settings change the relationship between finger effort and lever travel. Soft gives a longer stroke with lower required force; Hard gives a shorter stroke with higher force; Medium sits between them. Each brake can be set independently. You can then position the lever with 40 reach settings and tune when braking begins with seven free-stroke positions, so hand fit and brake response aren't tied to a single adjustment.
Built to manage heat
Each two-piece forged aluminium caliper uses four 18mm pistons. Insulating material at the pad contact helps limit heat passing into the caliper and fluid, while the stiff caliper body supports a consistent response. The supplied semi-metallic pads are developed for a positive initial bite and stable friction in hot or wet conditions. Stainless-steel-braided hoses with a PTFE core resist expansion, helping preserve a direct connection between lever input and braking.
In the box
- Two GR-PRO calipers with brake pads fitted.
- Right and left GR-PRO master cylinders and levers.
- Two braided brake hoses.
- Two additional replacement pad sets.
Plan the installation
The set is supplied as components for installation. Hose connection, filling and bleeding are required.
The system uses Post Mount calipers, a 22.2mm handlebar clamp and six-bolt GR-PRO rotors. Check your frame and fork's rotor-size limits and mounting requirements before choosing the 200mm or 220mm rotors. Brembo specifies GR-PRO components and Brembo mineral brake fluid for the system. Have the brakes installed and checked by a competent mechanic before riding.

Your hands, your brake feel
Lever ratio, reach and free stroke can be adjusted independently. Choose Soft, Medium or Hard for the balance of finger force and travel, use 40 reach positions to suit your hands, then set the engagement point with seven free-stroke positions. You can tune each brake without forcing the same setup at both ends.
Keep heat out of the hydraulics
The two-piece forged caliper combines stiffness with four 18mm pistons. Insulating material where the pistons meet the pads helps reduce heat transfer into the caliper and fluid, supporting a more consistent response during sustained braking.
A direct connection to the caliper
Stainless-steel braiding and a PTFE inner core help the GR-PRO hoses resist expansion under pressure and heat. That construction helps preserve the relationship between your lever input and the brake's response on a long descent. The kit is supplied dry: hose connection, filling and bleeding are required.
