The Burgtec KaboltX gives the compatible Fox pinch-axle setup a leverless 7075 aluminium axle with two tool sizes. Alongside the normal 6mm hex, an 8mm fitting provides another way to remove the axle if the smaller fitting is damaged.
The axle comes with a Grade 5 titanium pinch bolt and backing nut, plus a pinch-bolt washer. Burgtec lists Fox's 820-09-071-KIT, the 2021 36/38 15 x 110 KaboltX assembly, and 820-09-063-KIT as original part references.
When replacing a Fox quick-release axle, Burgtec specifies removing the QR hardware sleeve and replacing the pinch-bolt washer in the slit of the lowers with the supplied washer. Check the exact fork application and follow the fork's fitting instructions.
