Burgtec Yeti Rear Axle

The two Yeti axle lengths here serve different frame fittings, so the thread matters as much as the length. Both use a leverless 7075 aluminium body, 6mm hex tightening and included hanger hardware.

The 171mm axle uses an M12 x 1.5mm thread with an 11mm threaded section. The 174mm axle uses M12 x 1.0mm with a 14mm threaded section and has a second 6mm removal fitting on the drive side.

For the 174mm application, Burgtec notes that the original axle may be marked 172mm. Compare the original part reference and frame generation as well as the printed length.

For an SB165 around the 2023 changeover, confirm the frame generation and original axle: the model year alone does not distinguish the two applications.
