The 350 is a sensible centre for a wheel that will see plenty of use. Its practical construction keeps the cost manageable while retaining the ratchet drive and serviceability that make a DT Swiss build easy to live with.
The freehub can be accessed without specialist tools for routine cleaning and greasing, helping keep the wheel in regular use rather than waiting for an elaborate service.
