The current EX 1700 is an aluminium enduro wheel with useful attention paid to the details. A welded, asymmetric rim gives a 30mm internal width and helps balance spoke tension across the wheel.
Competition Race J-bend spokes make the build practical to maintain. DT Swiss uses 28 spokes at the front and 32 at the rear, matching the build to the different loads at each end of the bike.
The rear wheel uses a 350 DEG DF hub with 72-tooth ratchets. Choose 0, 10 or 20 degrees of free movement to tune how the drivetrain influences the rear suspension while coasting.
