The FR 1500 is a proper gravity wheel built from parts that are straightforward to maintain. A welded FR 541 aluminium rim gives a 30mm internal width, with a rim-edge profile designed to reduce tyre pinch damage on hard impacts.
Classic J-bend Competition spokes are a practical choice for a downhill wheel: strong, readily replaceable and familiar to a wheelbuilder. The 240 hub keeps the package focused on performance without abandoning serviceability.
The rear wheel uses a 36-tooth Ratchet EXP mechanism. This black EXP generation is distinct from the later Silver DEG DF model.
