Degrees of Freedom lets the freehub move through a selected amount before it engages, reducing the chain's influence on suspension movement while coasting. Choose 0 degrees for conventional engagement or 10 degrees of float, with routine DT Swiss serviceability retained.

The Hybrid DF system offers 0 or 10 degrees of free movement. In the 10-degree setting it can reduce the chain's influence on rear-suspension movement while coasting, helping the bike respond to rough ground.
Built for e-MTB loads
A reinforced hub layout, larger spoke interfaces and a steel cassette body are chosen for the higher loads of e-MTB use. This is the 60-tooth Hybrid DF system, with its own specific parts and settings.
