Bring Degrees of Freedom to a compatible DT Swiss classic Ratchet or Ratchet LN rear hub. This 54-tooth upgrade adds a choice of conventional 0-degree engagement or 14 degrees of free movement to reduce the chain's influence on rear-suspension movement while coasting.
Once installed, the setting changes by reversing the positions of the ratchets. Initial installation needs the correct ring-nut tool, and the kit includes a seal-installation tool for hubs with a shell-mounted seal.

The kit offers two settings: 0 degrees for conventional engagement or 14 degrees of free movement. In the float setting, the hub can reduce drivetrain influence on the rear suspension while the bike is coasting.
An upgrade for the classic system
The kit is designed for classic Ratchet and Ratchet LN hubs, extending those hubs with DF adjustment. It requires the correct installation tool; this version includes it.
