A welded aluminium trail wheel with a properly considered build. The current XM 1700 combines a 30mm internal-width asymmetric rim with Competition Race straight-pull spokes.
The offset rim helps balance spoke tension, while the double-butted spokes keep the wheel light enough for long trail days. It is a modern, serviceable system for a bike that has to climb as well as descend.
A 350 DEG DF rear hub combines 72-tooth ratchets with 0, 10 or 20 degrees of free-movement adjustment, giving you a choice of conventional engagement or reduced drivetrain influence while coasting.
