DT Swiss XR 421 Rim

The XR 421 is an aluminium rim for a modern cross-country build: 29-inch wheels, 28 spokes and a 30mm internal width. It gives wider XC tyres a supportive platform, with DT Swiss specifying tyres up to 2.7 inches.

Its low, asymmetric profile helps the wheelbuilder achieve more balanced spoke tension. That matters when you want a wheel that stays dependable through repeated laps, rather than chasing rim weight alone. The welded construction, PHR washers and supplied aluminium Pro Lock Squorx nipples provide the foundation for the build.
