The Early Rider Belter 24 is an everyday bike with enough gearing for longer rides and hillier routes. Its brushed aluminium frame carries a belt drive, Shimano Nexus eight-speed hub and hydraulic disc brakes, keeping the practical Belter formula as the rider moves up to 24-inch wheels.
More gears, still a clean drivetrain
The Nexus hub keeps its gears enclosed, while the belt avoids the oily-chain side of bike ownership. The rider selects the gear they need, making it a useful progression from a single-speed or automatic bike.
Tektro hydraulic disc brakes bring controlled braking to everyday rides. Schwalbe Billy Bonkers 2.0-inch tyres offer a useful combination of rolling speed and cushioning, and sealed wheel bearings help keep things moving smoothly.
This is the Belter to look at for paths, commuting to school and longer family rides. The rigid aluminium fork keeps the bike focused on that job; riders spending more of their time on off-road trails should also consider the Seeker 24.
