The Early Rider Seeker 14 is a small rigid mountain bike for a rider whose first pedal-powered adventures are heading off the path. A brushed aluminium frame, single-speed chain drive and hydraulic disc brakes put the focus on learning to ride the trail.
Pedal, steer, brake
One gear keeps things straightforward. The short 80mm cranks and smaller-diameter grip area are designed around little legs and hands, so there are fewer adult-sized compromises at the contact points.
CRUX hydraulic brakes with short-reach levers and 140mm rotors bring the stopping controls within reach. Kenda Booster tyres add off-road tread and cushioning, while sealed-bearing wheels help it roll freely.
A simple route into dirt riding
The rigid aluminium fork keeps the setup simple. This is the more trail-focused alternative to the belt-driven Belter 14, for children spending more of their riding time on dirt, grass and woodland paths.
Before choosing, check that the rider can get on, stop and reach the controls comfortably. We can help with the fit rather than relying on an age bracket alone.
Fit and weight
- Standover height: 380mm (manufacturer guidance).
- Manufacturer-quoted weight: 6.02kg, without pedals.
Standover is a frame measurement, not a minimum inside-leg recommendation. A fit check is still the best way to choose the right size.

One gear, focus on riding
The single-speed chain drive lets the rider concentrate on pedalling, steering and braking before adding gear selection.
Hand control on the trail
CRUX hydraulic brakes pair 140mm rotors with short-reach levers, keeping the braking setup proportionate to a small rider.
Grip away from the pavement
Kenda Booster tyres give the Seeker its dirt-focused tread and a useful cushion of air over uneven ground.
Cranks in proportion
The 80mm cranks are scaled to smaller legs, making the pedalling setup fit the bike rather than borrowing from an adult build.
