OQUO’s MP (Mountain Performance) range is designed for riders who want the fastest, most confidence-inspiring wheels they can bolt to a modern XC or trail bike. All three models share wide hookless 29" rims, aggressive inner widths and tubeless-ready construction, but each is tuned for a different balance of weight, stiffness and durability—from World Cup-ready race wheels to hard-charging trail workhorses.
OQUO MP30LTD Wheelset – The Lightest, Fastest XC Option
The MP30LTD is the flagship wheelset in the range, aimed squarely at the most demanding XC and marathon racers. Full carbon hookless rims with a 30 mm inner width deliver superb support for modern 2.2–2.4" tyres, letting you run lower pressures without squirm. With a complete wheelset weight from just 1350 g, the MP30LTD offers blistering acceleration and effortless climbing without sacrificing stiffness or precision.
Each wheel has a different job to do and experiences different forces. OQUO wheels use front and rear specific designs, that means considering rim profiles, spokes and build specifications carefully to maximise performance. It is more work but the benifits are clear.
Reinforced Spoke Beds
There is more stress on a rim where the spokes exert tension. Reinforcing these areas increases the reliability of the rim without adding excessive weight.
Hookless Rims
Hookless rims have straight sidewalls, rather than a hooked design. The main advantage is that they are lighter however with our Wide Bead design we have also measured a significant improvement in impact resistance.
Asymmetric Carbon Rims
Asymmetric rims allow us to make a more triangular shape with the spokes from each side of the rim, balancing the spoke lengths and tensions. This means each spoke takes an equal amount of strain. In short, asymmetric rims mean fewer spoke sizes, more balanced tensions, and stronger, more reliable wheels.
Pinch Protection
On tubeless wheels, punctures happen when the tire is pinched between an external object and the edge of the rim. Increasing the width of the rim profile in these points greatly reduces the likelihood of these punctures.
Angled Spoke Holes
Matching the angle of the spoke hole to the angle that the spoke leaves the rim at means that we can greatly reduce the stress at the spoke head. Implementing this technology requires added design and manufacturing work but the result is a far more reliable wheel with less chance of breaking spokes.

Anti-Rotational Spoke Head
The T-shaped spoke heads prevent spoke twisting and loosening, giving a more reliable wheel at a lighter weight than an equivalent J-bend system
Secure Nipple Lock
We apply a custom threadlock liquid to each nipple individually. This liquid creates increased friction between the threaded part of the spoke and the nipple, eliminating the air between them, ensuring that the spokes don't lose tension, whilst allowing adjustments if needed.
