The Occam LT H30 gives an aluminium trail build the travel to take on rougher routes: 160mm at the front and 150mm at the rear. It suits riders progressing from local loops towards steeper trails, while keeping a wide-range 12-speed drivetrain for the pedalling that joins them together.
This build uses a FOX AWL fork and Float Performance air shock, Shimano Deore shifting and MT420 hydraulic brakes. The OC MC22 dropper lets you lower the saddle for a descent, and the Minion DHF front/Dissector rear pairing gives each end a different job rather than fitting the same tyre everywhere.
The asymmetric Hydro frame keeps the Occam's characteristic braced layout. Its LT shock extender provides geometry adjustment, so the bike can be set up for the terrain you ride most often.
With 29in wheels, external headset routing in the standard configuration and straightforward mechanical shifting, the H30 is a useful foundation for regular trail miles and growing confidence on more difficult lines.
