Our go-to mixed wheelset. Light up front, tough out back.
We get asked all the time what wheels we actually ride. This is it.
Instead of running the same rim front and rear, we’ve mixed a Reserve 30 SL up front with a 30 HD on the rear. Why? Because it just rides better.
The SL front takes a bit of the sting out of the trail and gives you more grip and feel where it matters most. The HD rear is there to take hits, hold lines and deal with all the abuse you throw at it.
Built onto Industry 9 1/1 hubs, it’s fast engaging, easy to service and properly reliable.
It’s one of those setups that doesn’t shout about itself, but as soon as you ride it, you get it.
Note: Torque Cap front hub. Ideal for RockShox forks (Zeb, Lyrik, Pike). Other forks will need end caps.
Why we like it: It just feels right. More grip, less fatigue, and way more confidence than a standard matched wheelset.
