The Bottlerocket Frame is a starting point for a freeride build with a clear purpose: jumps, steep lines and repeated bike-park laps. Its aluminium chassis is dedicated to 27.5-inch wheels at both ends and comes with a Marzocchi Bomber Air shock in the 225 x 70mm configuration, giving 180mm of rear travel.
C.H.I.P.S. lets you choose suspension progression independently of the higher or lower geometry position. That is useful if you want to change the support through the travel without automatically changing the bike's stance. The bolt-on S.A.L.S.A. rear dropouts provide a further tuning option, with longer 5mm and 10mm versions sold separately.
The frame combines a gravity-cast bottom-bracket section with forged rocker and chainstay-yoke parts. Replaceable rubber downtube guards deal with rock strikes and shuttle contact, and the threaded bottom bracket and UDH hanger give the build familiar service standards.
This is a frame and shock, not a complete bike. A headset is not included. The platform also supports a longer-travel dual-crown configuration, but the supplied shock configuration is 180mm; choose any alternative shock and fork against Transition's compatibility requirements.

Tune support without tying it to geometry
C.H.I.P.S. offers four lower-shock-mount positions, separating the progression choice from the higher or lower geometry position. You can adjust the suspension character and the bike's stance as two decisions, rather than accepting one fixed combination.
Choose your rear-end balance
S.A.L.S.A. uses bolt-on rear dropouts to offer 0mm, 5mm and 10mm length options. The longer options give you another way to change the bike's balance; the 5mm and 10mm dropouts are sold separately.
Protection you can replace
Rubber guards protect the middle and lower downtube from rock strikes and shuttle contact. They are held by fasteners, so worn protection can be replaced rather than leaving the frame exposed.
Support through repeated hard landings
Forged rocker and chainstay-yoke parts use bridges to resist flex in the rear of the frame. Their purpose is to keep the suspension moving consistently under the loads of freeride use.
A compact home for the frame adjustments
The gravity-cast bottom-bracket section integrates the lower shock mounting system while preserving deep seatpost insertion. It achieves the required shape with fewer welds in this part of the frame.
