The Maxxis Minion DHX DoubleDown Tyre puts the downhill-developed DHX tread on an enduro casing. It’s for riders who want support and protection on rough descents, with 3C MaxxGrip rubber for demanding traction.
Two layers for demanding descents
DoubleDown combines two 120 TPI casing layers with a butyl insert. That construction supports the tyre when the trail loads it up, while the DHX tread can be used on either the front or rear wheel.
The 3C MaxxGrip compound uses soft, slow-rebounding rubber to help the tread stay composed over slippery rocks, wet roots and rough ground. Casing and compound do different jobs here: DoubleDown supplies the support, while MaxxGrip focuses on traction.
