The Maxxis Minion DHX EXO+ Tyre brings the downhill-developed DHX tread to a reinforced trail casing. This 29 x 2.5 version gives you a choice of 3C MaxxGrip or MaxxTerra, so you can choose the rubber for the conditions you ride.

Trail casing, gravity-led tread

EXO+ uses a 60 TPI casing with reinforced sidewalls and a butyl insert around the bead. It’s the trail-focused construction in the DHX range; the tread can be fitted to the front or rear wheel.

Choose your compound

3C MaxxGrip is the traction-focused option. Its soft, slow-rebounding rubber suits wet roots, slippery rocks and demanding terrain. MaxxTerra is the mixed-conditions option. This current-generation compound was developed to improve traction and tread life while retaining rolling efficiency.

Both options have a folding bead and are Tubeless Ready. A tubeless setup requires a compatible rim and liquid sealant.

Choose grip for slippery trails

For the 3C MaxxGrip option.

Soft, slow-rebounding rubber makes 3C MaxxGrip the traction-focused choice for wet roots and slippery rocks. Choose MaxxTerra when you want the current-generation compound’s balance of traction, tread life and rolling efficiency.

Let the tyre work with the trail

Every tyre on this page is Tubeless Ready.

With a compatible rim and liquid sealant, you can tune pressure for grip without an inner tube to pinch. Check sealant regularly and follow the limits marked on your tyre and rim.
